  1. What is Mixxxer?

    Mixxxer is the first “Adult’s Only” mobile web app that helps users quickly find hookups based on their location. Struck out at the club but still want a quickie? Visiting a city on business or pleasure and want to find some a horny local? Mixxxer is specifically designed for on the go people looking for sex or any other lewd act!

    Mixxxer was designed to address these concerns. We allow our users to control their privacy. We have developed an innovative feature called the Privacy Filter that our members can use. When activated it overlays a member’s picture with a privacy layer, hiding their identity while still allowing other members to see what kind of “physical” qualities you have. We equate it to seeing someone through a shower door.

  3. And what about my location? Can people find me in the real world without my consent?

    Not unless you want them too. The accuracy of your location will never be less than one mile. So you have a one mile “safety zone” around your actual location. We did this to protect our user’s privacy. And if that isn’t enough, you can always turn off the location services in the Privacy Controls menu.

  4. Is Mixxxer an app or a website?

    It’s kind of both. Mixxxer is a website designed specifically to be used on mobile device browsers (many refer to it as a mobile web app). The core functions of the site cannot be accessed through a desktop or laptop browser. To gain access to the main website, log into mixxxer.com from a mobile device.

  5. Can I download Mixxxer from iTunes or the Android Marketplace?

    No. Mixxxer does not have to be downloaded. You can add a bookmark to mixxxer.com to the home screen of your mobile device and it will act just like a downloadable app.

  6. Why isn’t Mixxxer in iTunes or the Android Marketplace?

    Apple and Android have strict rules that their apps must abide by. By avoiding their rules, we are able to offer our members a true “Adults Only” experience, such as the posting of sexually explicit material. Our users have much more freedom inside our web app versus the apps found in iTunes and Android.

    Not only is their more freedom for “naughty” acts, since our app is really a website, Mixxxer does burdens your mobile device with little storage and processing requirements.

  7. Will I notice a difference between a downloadable app and your web app?

    Most likely no. It may be slightly slower since each page has to load but the difference is negligible. A lot of people don’t realize that some of the most popular apps on their phones are actually web apps or mobile optimized web sites (Google Maps, Facebook, NFL.com).

  8. Is Mixxxer really free?

    Mixxxer standard membership is always free, and although paid membership packages give you unlimited access, there are plenty of fun things to on Mixxxer for free.

  9. How do I know that users who contact me are real?

    We do our best to ensure that all communication through Mixxxer is spam free, anonymous and fun! That being said, there are several safeguards we take in ensuring that all communication is carried out between real members, not fake profiles.

  10. Help! Your site isn’t loading correctly. What do I do?

    If you’re having problems with the Mixxxer service on your mobile device, the first thing we recommend doing is clearing the cache, cookies and location data on your device’s browser. Every device is different, but selecting the menu tab in your browser should allow you to delete the cache and cookies.

  11. I’m having problems with freezing and blank screens. What do I do?

    If you have these types of problems, try refreshing your browser each time they occur. That should fix the problem each time. While we strive to ensure compatibility on all devices, problems sometimes arise.

  12. Can I delete my profile?

    Yes. At anytime. You may disable or completely delete your profile. Just log in to your account on a mobile device. You will find the account disable and delete options the Settings > Account Details.

  13. Help! I forgot my password. What do I do?

    No problem. Simply go to the Sign In screen on your mobile device and press the “Forgot Password” link. It will prompt you to enter the email address you signed up with. Instruction on resetting your password will be emailed to you.

  14. What do I do if I’ve forgotten my username?

    You can sign in using the email address you signed up with. If you’ve forgotten that, please contact us at staff@mixxxer.com and we will assist you in finding your account.
